He does have a high strikeout percentage (33%) which does tear down the offensive performance a little bit but when you look at his minor league stats, it’s pretty much equal to his time in the big leagues. He’s making solid contact with the ball and has a 19 percent barrel percentage on his season. Offensively, the man has done some damage at the plate. He’s got a strong throwing arm with a caught stealing percentage of 29, which might not look too impressive compared to other catchers in the league, but Nottingham hasn’t had nearly as much playing time as veteran catchers.
